TAMALES IN SQUAMISH
Handmade tamales
in Squamish.
Mexican tamales made from scratch by a family kitchen with roots in Puebla, Mexico. Find us at Squamish Farmers Market, 37996 Cleveland Avenue at Victoria Street, on market Saturdays.
What goes into a tamale
A tamale is corn masa, filled, wrapped in a corn husk and steamed. Ours are made by hand in our own kitchen, the same way they are made at home in Puebla — masa prepared from scratch, filled, wrapped and steamed in small batches.
Our fillings change with the week
We cook to what is good that week rather than to a fixed list, so the fillings vary. Call 604 389 8926 to ask what is being made before you travel.
