TACOS FOR WHISTLER
Tacos for Whistler,
from a kitchen in Squamish.
Totomoxtle has no stall in Whistler Village, Creekside or Function Junction. The tacos are cooked in Squamish, about 58 kilometres south on Highway 99, by a family from Puebla. Here is what the drive is like, when to come, and how we get the food to Whistler when you cannot come to it.
What we make, and where we are
Street tacos on corn tortillas from our own kitchen, tamales in the husk, quesadillas, antojitos, chilate and pozol. We are open Thursday & Friday 11 am–4 pm, Saturday 9 am–2 pm, closed Sunday to Wednesday. On market Saturdays the stall is at Squamish Farmers Market, 37996 Cleveland Avenue at Victoria Street. We are not a restaurant and we have no premises in Whistler; the Find Us page has the market address and directions.
The drive down from Whistler
From the village, Highway 99 runs south past Creekside and Function Junction, drops out of the resort and follows the valley down to Squamish. It is about 58 kilometres. On a clear summer day that is under an hour; on a ski weekend, in snow, or in the Sunday afternoon run back to the city it is longer, so give the road what it asks for.
Saturday morning is the market. The stall is on Cleveland Avenue in the middle of downtown, a few minutes off the highway. Between seasons, when the mountain is quieter, the road is at its easiest and the market is still on. No market in January or February.
