Britannia Beach has the old mine site, the water, and Highway 99 running straight through. Our stall is about ten kilometres north of it in downtown Squamish. Here is what we make, when to come up, and what we can bring down.
Ten kilometres up the road
Tacos on corn tortillas we make ourselves, tamales, quesadillas, antojitos, chilate and pozol, cooked in Squamish by one family from Puebla. We are open Thursday & Friday 11 am–4 pm, Saturday 9 am–2 pm, closed Sunday to Wednesday. On market Saturdays the stall is at Squamish Farmers Market, 37996 Cleveland Avenue at Victoria Street. There is no stall at Britannia Beach itself.
The drive from Britannia Beach
It is the simplest trip on this site: north on Highway 99 from the mine site, past the falls and the Chief, and off at Cleveland Avenue into downtown Squamish. Roughly ten to fifteen minutes; a summer Saturday on the highway can add a few. If you are coming up from the city and stopping at Britannia on the way, the market is your next stop, not a detour.
